Scripture Art Sunday:On being brave. Isaiah 43:7

God is constantly calling us to be brave.
Over and over and over again he says
Do not be afraid.
Do not be afraid.
Do not be afraid.
I am with you.
Do not be afraid.


in other words...
Be brave.
Be brave.
Be brave.
I am with you.
Be brave.


and I'm beginning to think that God cares more about my willingness
 to be brave and uncomfortable with Him
than my ability to follow rules or do all of the Christian stuff.
I don't think He cares about all that Christian stuff if I'm not
being brave in obeying what He's calling me to do.
You know?


That's great that you teach Sunday school, Erin,
but I really want you to go talk to your neighbor.
I really want you be vulnerable in that relationship.
I really want you to take that next big scary step that
I placed on your heart so many years ago and
that you still haven't done anything about.
I really want you to ______.


I think the abundant life that God promises
has little to do with obeying rules
and everything to do with being brave and uncomfortable,
to stepping out into the life that He calls us to.
The life that is life.


I've got this Erin.
I've already saved you from sin and from death.
I've already redeemed your life from the pit.
I have called you by name.
You belong to me. I've got this.
Trust me & step into life.
