Day 13: Working Out Scripture
In Your Art Journal
In Your Art Journal
How can I know what I think until I see what I say?
Karl Weick
This is why I love journaling.
This is why I love blogging.
This is why I love art.
because I don't even know what's inside me until
I sit down and it all comes pouring out.
And most of the time I don't know where it comes from.
I never knew it was there.
So, I chose this scripture
"For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also."
Matthew 6:21
because I set my heart on so many different things
without even realizing it, you know?
If you can't decide what scripture to choose,
then you're thinking too hard.
It doesn't even have to be scripture,
it can be what you are struggling with
or questions you have for
or thankful for,
or simple prayers.
Whatever is on your mind.
1. Prep your page with gesso and a couple acrylic colors.
Spread them with a gift card or a paper towel.
2. Journal your thoughts and/or prayers with a fine point permanent marker.
3. Paint over the marker with a layer of paint.
4. Finish your page with a permanent marker.
